Taking out travel insurance can be a good idea for seniors
when they go on vacation. Because there are so many thing that
can go wrong.
Having the right kind of travel insurance can go to great
lengths to insure travel safety.
There are others things the senior can do for travel
safety:
1. Be sure that your doctor gives you a clean bill of
health through a pre-trip medical checkup. Bring enough regular
medications with you which are correctly labeled with what they
are for and how they are to be taken.
2. To prevent customs officials from seizing your medicines,
have your physician write down your prescription. Place your
medical supplies in a separate bag for easy access.
3. Traveling via cruise ships is fun, relaxing, exciting,
and could even prove to be romantic for senior singles. While
cruise ships are generally safe for seniors, if you are
concerned for your safety bring a family along or gather your
senior friends and travel together.
4. Baggage theft remains to be one of the top concerns that
travelers face therefore wherever you are, keep an eye on your
luggage at all times. Always keep your passport, money, wallet,
and other important documents in your person as you could lose
them when you need to go the restroom or to just get coffee
from the vending machine. Consider taking out over 70 travel insurance that provides for

5. After 9/11, securities at all ports of entry or exit were
beefed up to prevent another terrorist attack from ever
occurring again. Be sure to follow security procedures they are
in place for your own good.

your surroundings; take note of what your seatmate and those
immediately around you look like. If you notice any odd or

address so that airline personnel will have a way to contact
you to return your property.

1. Do a thorough research about your destination. Take note
of diseases endemic to the place and whether you should be
vaccinated for this; take note of emergency numbers, consular
or embassy numbers, and notable hospitals or clinics.
2. When you are traveling abroad join a tour group as much
as possible. More than sharing the fun and excitement this is
an opportunity to form new and lasting friendships as well.
3. Bring only what you need for the trip. Leave all your
valuables behind they will only get in your way plus you will
have lots of things to look out for thus more worries.
4. Be careful giving out too much personal information about
yourself and your financial state of affairs when traveling and
meeting people you don’t know very well.
